The Jim Baen Memorial ShortStory Award.The Jim Baen Memorial Short Story Award, co-sponsored by The National Space Society and Baen Books, recognizes the purpose that science fiction serves in evolving real science. The judges are inviting writers to submit their best fiction stories (up to 8K words per story), that explores the near future (approx. about 50-60 years dated) of manned space exploration.
