Highlights Fiction Contest .Highlights for Children Inc. sponsors an adult writing contest called Highlights Fiction Contest. Three writers of the best short fiction stories each win a cash prize of $1,000 plus publication in the magazine. Other finalists are also considered for publication with pay. Word length per story must not exceed 750 words.
