Prize Details

Bethesda Magazine Writing Contest.Neutral free contest awards prizes up to $500 in each genre in adult category (age 18+) and $250 in youth category (Grades 9-12) for short stories by residents of Montgomery County, MD and Upper Northwest Washington, DC (20015 and 20016 zip codes), and essays by residents of Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. Stories should be 4,000 words maximum, essays 500 words maximum. One entry per person per genre.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents who meet the age and residency requirements set by the sponsor. Void where prohibited.
