Austin Chronicle Short Story Contest.Neutral free contest awards 5 prizes of $300 apiece for short stories of 2,500 words or less. No simultaneous submissions. Mail in manuscript and cover sheet. Staff members of The Austin Chronicle, freelancers who have contributed more than one article since October of last year, and last year's winners not eligible to enter.
