I've been entering contests every single day since july and I haven't won a single thing! Am I just unlucky or is this typical?

If you don't already, try entering the smaller, and local, sweeps with less expensive prizes. I've gone through months with no wins, then I'll win a couple, then another winless streak. Keep at it!

Vary the kinds of sweepstakes that you enter and enter the right ones. Enter some sweepstakes online and some through the mail, enter some instant win games too. Finally, enter those sweeps that you really want, sweepstakes that have several prizes with few states playing. Ideally, the smaller thearea, with oneway to enter with many prizes arethe best to enter. Then, your luck will change.-Squish

I've been entering for 8 months, have won 2 small prizes but I know of people who have won 10 or so since the New Year, it's the luck of the draw it seems and if you don't keep trying you'll never win anything. My husband just won a Grill through Budweiser which he subsequently sold for $100 and an iPod from IZZE which he loves.

I haven't won anything on here, but have won things on facebook. I'm wondering do you have to join powersweeper to win on this site. I like this website though!!

I've won a few things on this website and I've also won prizes from sweeps that have nothing to do with this site. To up your overall chances of winning enter other contests, not just the ones on this site.

I haven't won anything at all from this site. Do you have better luck if you join Powersweeper? Noticed that Jewel wins a lot of the time. What's the secret does anyone know.

I win a lot but then I enter a lot. As other members have said the key is to enter lots of sweeps and change up the types of sweeps that you enter. Photo/Video sweeps are becoming very popular, essays, triva, contest that aren't so easy to just put a button on so that you goto their webform or registration. Also making sure your entry confirms to the rules. Have you looked at twitter? There are constant short, fast, easy entry giveaways/sweepstakes that are constantly happening on twitter. @jaxwinner

When you guys say you enter a lot, what is a lot? I probably enter 50 a day or so. Haven't won anything yet and I enter for big prizes and small.

When I started entering sweepstakes online around 1999 it was easier to win because the internet was younger and fewer people were online. I now enter probably 5 times more sweeps and win fewer. I think one needs to enter 300 or more dailies to win occasionally. Then you also have your weeklies, monthlies, one time, etc.

By the date of post you entered daily for 5 months. You haven't really given the site enough of a chance.Sweepstakes can take a long time from when they end to when they actually notify winners. If they send out an affidavit to a winner and they don't respond, then another affidavit has to be sent to the next in line.. so it can take a lot of time. Don't give up so easily.

I agree with braveturtle.. I started "sweeping" in the late 80's using only the mail-in method. By the early '90's i was winning small prizes regularly- a few a month. I hit several big wins in the mid 90's and the last in the early 2000's. Once the internet exploded and everyone had it, my wins dropped to next to nothing. I've only had one internet win and that was early on in internet days and was a sweeps limited to 1 per person. The best statistical chance (in my opinion) is a mail-in only sweeps that limits the number of entries in some way that you qualify for- like to a limited area that includes your state. Less people are willing to do the work to mail in and pay for postage, which helps your chance. That said, I decided to try this website since it has a huge number of sweeps available for free. I dropped my longtime newsletter after it became less able to manage to deliver it via email on time, and also had become less productive win-wise.
